WIGS designed for cancer patients had to be thrown away after they were covered in shattered glass during a raid.
Bricks were hurled through the window of MWAH (Make-up Wigs And Hair) in Bournemouth, causing damage to property and wrecking stock.
Now salon boss Simone Thomas has offered a reward for information leading to the offenders.
Burglars struck at the salon in Seamoor Road, Westbourne, on the night of Wednesday, February 5. The damage was discovered the following morning.
Simone told the Daily Echo: “One wig was stolen and 17 were destroyed because they all had glass in the human hair and fibres.
“It is such a shame that people would do this to us because we help men, women and children who suffer with cancer.”
She said several appointments also had to be cancelled while the shop was cleared up and that safety flooring and locks had to be replaced. The raiders are believed to have struck between 5.15pm on Wednesday, February 5 and 8.30am the following day.
Police attended the scene and anyone with information is asked to call officers on 101 or the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111. Mobile phone tariffs may apply.
