A POOLE hospice has thanked a local business for donating two new high-efficiency boilers.

Hamworthy Heating donated the boilers to Forest Holme Hospice as part of the charity’s refurbishment and to replace previous Hamworthy UR boilers which were more than 20 years old.

Hannah Parsons, hospice events and corporate fundraiser, said: “As a charity, we work very hard to ensure every penny donated to us counts and the new boilers are far more efficient than our old ones, making it much more economical for the hospice to use.

“We are quite simply delighted with them, especially as this bad spell of weather looks set to be around for some time yet.”

Hamworthy Heating supplied the Purewell VariHeat cast iron high efficiency 65kW boilers after choosing Forest Holme as its charity of the year.

Valued at £8,500, the boilers are the latest model from a line of cast iron boilers Hamworthy Heating have supplied to NHS hospitals, schools, hotels and offices.
