A HOTEL in Bournemouth has chosen the Lewis-Manning Hospice as its chosen charity of the year.

The Hallmark Hotel, based on Durley Chine Road, have selected the good cause, which supports people with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses, after working with the hospice on previous events.

It now hopes to raise funds and awareness for the hospice and highlight the important work of Lewis-Manning, as well as the impact they have on the local community.

Beverley Bryan, who recently joined the hotel as its sales executive, said: “I am very much looking forward to working on fundraising with the staff here at the Hallmark Bournemouth, to support Lewis-Manning and raise awareness to support their cause.”

Sally Goodenough, Lewis-Manning Hospice corporate and legacies fundraiser, said: “We are delighted that the Hallmark is supporting us and it couldn’t have come at a more exciting time, as we begin opening our bedrooms in May.

“The bedrooms will offer respite, rehabilitation and end of life care for the growing number of patients that rely on us for the help at a particularly distressing time.”
