A southern fried chicken portable cafe being towed by a pick-up truck ended up on its side spilling cooking oil over both southbound carriageways of the A338 Spur Road, a mile from Blackwater Junction, this evening.

Traffic was delayed while emergency services attended the scene.

Another vehicle, a blue Ford Fiesta, was involved in a separate accident a short while later on the same carriageway. No-one was injured in either crash.
