A FORMER head girl of Bournemouth’s Talbot Heath School is the focus of a BBC documentary to be screened on Monday night.
Journalist and presenter Jeremy Paxman, pictured right at the school, visited the independent school last year to film for the series, which reveals unknown aspects of the First World War. Ex-head girl Rosamund Essex has been identified as a role model after writing about a speech delivered by a teacher in 1918.
The speech encouraged girls to make the most of their lives and not to be dependent on a husband.
