SUNSEEKER’S flagship yacht, the largest vessel the company has ever constructed, entered the water for the first time this week.

The tri-deck 155 Yacht, reportedly worth £32million, has been built for Formula One mogul and BBC presenter Eddie Jordan.

An image of the luxury craft’s plush interior is revealed exclusively by the Daily Echo today.

After the commissioning and testing of its major systems, the 155-foot yacht will be put through its paces during a series of sea trials later this month.

The yacht was painstakingly moved out of its boatshed in late January, and its appearance for the first time caused quite a stir on Poole Quay.

Stewart McIntyre, managing director at Sunseeker International, said: “This is an extremely exciting time for Sunseeker as we inch closer to the completion of the 155 yacht.

“This is the biggest project we have ever undertaken and since the announcement of its build it has been the talk of the industry.

“We are incredibly proud of what we have created and look forward to showcasing it to the world.”

All going well, the 155 will be delivered to Eddie Jordan in early spring, giving the exuberant Irishman, if he wishes, plenty of time to show off his new acquisition at the Monaco Grand Prix.

The marinas of Monaco are traditionally packed with some of the world’s most expensive yachts, as the rich and famous descend on the principality to watch F1 drivers compete on the legendary street circuit.

The 155 can cater for a dozen guests and 10 crew, has an onboard nightclub, a panoramic viewing area, a dining area, a bar and its own Jet ski garage.

A statement released by Sunseeker International read: “Eddie Jordan has taken advantage of the bespoke element of this superyacht and embraced every opportunity to stamp his unique mark on it.”
