A CONTESTANT from The Voice UK filmed a music video on Bournemouth seafront and choreographed a new dance – which he said could become as big as Gangnam Style. Bournemouth entertainer Si Genaro created a stir on the talent show with his song Chicken Train, which he performed after singing Men at Work’s hit Down Under, despite failing to reach the next stage of the competition.

The comedian and singer had judges Kylie Minogue and Will.i.am dancing in their seats and Chicken Train, along with Si’s name, began trending on Twitter.

The 42-year-old borrowed a land train from the council for the video and had the help of 30 people in fancy dress to film the promo – to the bewilderment of some passers-by.

“We were all waving at people and got some funny looks but the atmosphere was terrific,” he said.

“We went down there to have some fun and get as much daft footage as possible.

“We had people dressed as chickens, a pantomime horse and even a gothic rabbit.”

The assortment of performers took the train from Bournemouth Pier to Boscombe and back before Si and musician friend Ant Lewis, who goes by the stage name Future Revival, took ‘around 30 seconds’ to create a stomping new chicken themed dance, which they have named after the song.

Si is well-known on the local music scene.

He runs open mic nights at Le Bateau in Ashley Cross, Blushh in Christchurch and O’Neills in Bournemouth.

The single Chicken Train by Si Genaro v Future Revival was scheduled to be released on iTunes yesterday.
