STUDENTS and staff have joined forces at Ringwood School to put on a colourful production of Miss Saigon.

Set in 1970s Vietnam, the show tells the love story of a Vietnamese girl and an American soldier during the final days of the war.

This week sees six performances to a total audience of more than 1,500 people. Ringwood School’s reputation for its productions is well established.

The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and the Guildhall School of Music and Theatre have attended past productions and invited students to audition.

Director and subject leader for drama, Elise de Lancy Green said: “As rehearsals have progressed, I have been amazed by the talent of the students who have approached their roles with maturity beyond their years.” Most performances are sold out but tickets for the 2.30pm matinee on Saturday are available from the school.
