TWO firms joined forces to provide a new business phone system when a recruitment agency moved premises.

The Work Shop, which has offices in Poole and Ringwood, relocated its Poole operation to Old Wareham Road.

It appointed VoIP Unlimited and Target IT Services to provide the telecoms system.

A voice-over-internet-protocol (VoIP) system was put into operation, allowing the business to reduce the cost of phone calls by using the internet to make free calls between branches.

Phil Harmsworth of the Work Shop said: “The move of our Poole office was an important part of our strategy, and it was essential that it happened with little impact to the business.

“Both VoIP Unlimited and Target IT Services took control of the telecommunications and were very helpful in explaining the options available at the outset at a cost which was affordable.

“They also worked very hard to meet the tight two-week timeframe we had for the office move and ensured minimum disruption to our business.”

Jamie Fish, sales manager at VoIP Unlimited, said: “An office move is a great opportunity to evaluate a phone system. No office can function without telephones, but the available choices can be confusing.

“VoIP is a good solution for a changing company and we were pleased to be appointed by the Work Shop to assist them in its move.”
