Bournemouth Echo: Emergency services called to A338 crash Emergency services called to A338 crash

A WOMAN had a lucky escape this morning after her car overturned on slippery roads.

The red Citroen C2 flipped onto its roof at Blackwater Junction off the A338.

Fire crews from Christchurch, Springbourne and Ringwood were called to the smash at around 7.30am.

However, the woman was not injured in the collision, and the road did not need to be closed.

A Dorset Police spokesperson said: "A member of the public reported a vehicle on its roof.

"A female was able to get out of the car. Officers arrived at the scene at 7.37am and located the vehicle near the Blackwater Bridge. The car had overturned in slippery conditions."

...and the 'local' Fire Brigade from the Bedfordshire County Fire Service apparently turned up in their twenty year old Fire engine (as pictured) yet again!

Yet the mobile speed camera is always safely tucked up next to the hospital as if its just a money maker not a road safety device at all. Go look on www.crashmap.co.uk. for where all the accidents occur.
