Fans camp out to get their hands on tickets for Gary Barlow concert at the BIC
GARY Barlow fans needed a little patience, as tickets for his BIC show went on sale at 9.30am this morning.
Tickets for the show on April 23 were available via the venue’s box office, website and phone lines.
Some fans even camped out in tents overnight to secure a tickets to see the former X Factor judge and Take That leader.
Gail Collins, of BH Live, said: “The phones have been non-stop and we’ve tried to be as fair as possible by holding back tickets for the queue. People starting queuing from before 8pm last night and some spent the night in warm clothes and a tent. We’re very pleased and it should be a very special show.”
The Bournemouth show on April 23 is part of his Since I Saw You Last Tour 2014 that will see Gary play some of the biggest venues he has ever played as a solo artist. When Barlow last toured in 2012, ticket demand was so high that he could have sold out the dates more than six times over.
“There’ll be a bit of production, but mainly it’ll be me and the band, very music-based. Put it this way, there won't be any 60ft robots, elephants or unicycles,” Gary Barlow told the Daily Echo.
With Take That Gary has released eight number one albums that have collectively sold more than 30 million copies. He has also been party to fifteen No.1 singles, sold seven million concert tickets as well as being the proud recipient of six Ivor Novello Awards.
