A BUILDING site manager has been named one of the best in the business.
Chris Binton, 46, of Ringwood-based Churchill Retirement Living, was one of five site managers out of 15,000 to be named one of the UK’s Supreme Site Managers of the Year.
He received the award from comedian Al Murray at the National House Building Council’s Pride on the Job gala awards.
Chris started as a labourer and bricklayer 29 years ago and has worked for Churchill Retirement Living since the company was set up 20 years ago.
The award recognises high standards in all aspects of housebuilding, from the wellbeing of the team to satisfaction of new homeowners.
Mr Binton said: “I get great job satisfaction on producing high quality developments.”
Spencer McCarthy, chairman and group managing director of Churchill Retirement Living, said: “This is a fantastic accolade for Chris and we are very proud of him.”
