PLANS to protect Holdenhurst Village for the future and create one conservation area for the whole village have been approved.
Holdenhurst Village East and West are currently two separate conservation areas but will now be combined into one in the Holdenhurst Village Conservation Area Appraisal.
The appraisal explains the history of the area and what makes it special and provides guidance to property owners and developers as to how the area should be protected.
It has been through a six-week period of public consultation, which sparked 20 responses.
Most were positive about the appraisal although only half the respondents directly supported the proposed boundary changes.
