HUNDREDS of people are expected to attend the funeral of popular schoolgirl Connie Moore.

The talented grammar school pupil died of meningitis on Sunday, January 19.

A celebration of Connie’s life will be held at Richmond Hill St Andrew’s United Reformed Church on Monday February 3 at 1pm, followed by a private burial service to be attended by family and close friends. All are welcome to attend the Carlton Hotel on Bournemouth’s East Cliff at 4pm Tributes poured in after Connie’s death, including moving words from the headteacher of Bournemouth School for Girls, where she was a pupil.

Alistair Brien said: “Connie was a lovely, gentle-natured girl with impeccable manners. She was studious and hard-working in class and also a talented singer out of school.

“Always bright and bubbly, she had a wonderful laugh, much appreciated by all her many friends.”

Her grieving family have asked for family flowers only but for donations to Friends of Southampton Hospital’s Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (Friends of PICU) and to Meningitis Now in a bid to help others.
