A MAJOR land and sea search is underway after a naked man went missing from a Bournemouth address.

Concerns are growing for the safety of Aaron Fiveash, last seen at his parents’ home in Sunnylands Avenue, Southbourne, at 5.30am today.

The disappearance of the 36-year-old is described as “completely out of character” and now his worried father has appealed to him to come home.

Dennis Fiveash said: “We love you, please come home. We are all really worried about you.”

Police have released a picture of the missing man and Sergeant Billy Bulloch of Bournemouth Police said: “We are very concerned for Aaron’s welfare as it is believed he left his parents’ home in Bournemouth not wearing any clothes.

“Aaron’s disappearance is completely out of character and I appeal to him to make contact with someone to let his family know that he is safe and well.”

He said the search is underway but there have been no sightings of Aaron so far.

Sgt Bulloch continued: “It is important that Aaron, or anyone who knows of Aaron’s whereabouts, comes forward as soon as possible.

“I urge anyone with any information, no matter how small or seemingly irrelevant, to contact the police on 101.”

Aaron is described as white, 5ft 11ins tall, of medium build and with short black hair.

Anyone with information or knowledge as to Aaron’s whereabouts should call Dorset Police on 101 quoting incident number 6:61.

Surely there is more to this than we are being told, to enable people to urgently assist a man who we are left to presume by the sensationalist headline might well be distressed and/or confused, it would be helpful to have a bit more information.

Hoping he is found safe and well.

For once I agree with Musscliffman. There's something not being said about this. Why has no one noticed a naked man (nice looking one too if I might say) wandering sound Southbourne?
I hope they find him safe and well.

I suppose it is prudent to say, "check sheds, garages and outhouses, even allotment sheds". Sad. Hope he is found safe.

Does all sound somewhat bizarre , hopefully there is some logical and positive outcome to all this. Without intending to make light of the situation in any way, I must say that allocating a Sgt Bulloch to the job of finding a naked man does seem rather apt.

Yes he is nice looking - I would definitely have noticed him walking around naked!

What the story doesn't say though is whether he left the house walking or whether he was in a car. If he was in his car it's possible he might have had some clothes in the boot to put on - lots of people keep gym clothes in a hold-all in their cars. Did he leave as a result of a row - or for no reason?

Once again only half the story. Hope he is found soon.

None of our business?

Just maybe all we need to know he's missing and this is what he looks like?

Cold and wet out there, hope he's ok,

How do they know he left naked..?? To know that somebody must have seen him..! Why only tell part of the story ? Do you want to find him or not ? As for its none of our business....if its none of our business then why ask us for help. Something not right about this story.

According to the BBC News article: "Police said the "limited clothes" he had with him had been left behind at the house in Sunnylands Avenue."
It does say that he went missing from his parents' home, not his own home.

I am a close friend of the family and think you yourselves (not all) should wait to know the whole story before writing such insensitive comments!
The fact he jumped out the window highlights he wasn't in the best frame of mind and possibly scared and on the run. Therefore could be hidden somewhere obscure.
The fact he left the house with seemingly non of his clothes suggests maybe he was sleepwalking or just made a dash for it....so no shoes and wearing what ever he went to bed in... chances are not pj's!
All in all we are worried sick and want him to know how many people care about him. With the weather like it is we hope he is sheltered somewhere...
Appreciate this may be optimistic but thats all we can do.
You know as much as me now oh and he was with his parents a few days near hengesbury head when it happend.
