POLICE hunting thieves who stole a Poppy Appeal collection tin in Poole have issued two new CCTV images in a renewed bid for help.

As reported in the Daily Echo, the charity tin was taken from the Co-op in Ashley Road at around 1.15pm on Monday, November 4.

Officers believe that those responsible purposely knocked the tin onto the floor, put it into a bag and walked out of the store.

It is not known how much money was inside.

Sergeant Simon Perry, of Poole police, said: “Following extensive enquiries, I am now able to release two further CCTV images of a man and a woman I would like to speak with in relation to this theft.

“I urge those pictured or anyone who recognises them to contact Dorset Police as soon as possible.

“Staff at the store were shocked by this incident, and we are very keen to find those responsible.

“I would like to thank the public for their assistance so far.”

No arrests have been made.
