BUDDING birdwatchers have been invited to attend a new course at Arne’s RSPB nature reserve.
The reserve will launch a free beginners guide to bird-watching over three consecutive Thursdays, starting on January 16.
Information officer Michael Wilson said: “The start of the new year is a great opportunity to try something a bit different. The course is aimed at the true novice and will contain essential tips to get you started, from using binoculars and ID books to learning more about watching birds in the many different habitats of Arne.
“The sessions aren’t about turning people into overnight twitchers – they’re about helping to find out something about the wildlife all around them.
“Above all we want people to come out and enjoy themselves at this fantastic reserve.”
Sessions run 10am-midday but spaces are limited.
For more information or to book a place call in at the visitor centre in the Arne car park or telephone 01929 553 360.
