A TWO car crash in Poole blocked Blandford Road near the Twin Sails bridge on Saturday lunchtime.

The incident, which took place at 11.57am, happened just before the Twin Sails bridge, said a spokesperson for Dorset Police.

There were two vehicles involved - both understood to be cars - with some injuries reported.

The spokesperson said it was not believed they were serious.

An officer at the scene said three people were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The road was closed until around 1.30pm.

There was heavy traffic in the area as a result of the collision.

That has to be three quarters of a mile from the Twin Sails Bridge. It affected traffic using Poole Bridge because it was Poole Bridge side of the Rigler Road traffic lights. Get your facts right.
