A DISTRESSED pensioner was rescued by coastguards on Christmas Day.
Rescuers found the 70-year-old man, who suffers from dementia, at an isolated farm track near to Lulworth Cove.
The man went missing on the Lulworth Downs on Christmas Day.
The South Western Ambulance Service asked the Lulworth Coastguard Rescue Team to help find the man at 12.09pm yesterday.
He was found in a distressed state, also suffering from hypothemia, on an isolated farm track just north of Bats Head.
The Portland Coastguard Rescue Helicopter was scrambled to airlift the man to the A&E landing site at Dorset County Hospital, Dorchester.
