A CHRISTCHURCH councillor was presented with a special service award recently.
Cllr Sue Spittle was presented with an award for her commitment to Girlguiding Twynham at a meeting of the full council at Christchurch.
The award was given by Sheila Leete, the former Twynham Division Commissioner, and current division commissioner Sandra Gola along with the Mayor of Christchurch, Cllr John Lofts.
Sandra said: “Sue already had a background with Guiding so understood what our aims were with giving local girls the opportunities to go camping, learn new skills, travel abroad and to give service to the local community; the latter having been a large part of her life in this borough.
“It gives me great pleasure to present a five-year service award to Cllr Sue Spittle.”She thanked Cllr Spittle for her continued support of the local groups.
