FIRE crews had to cut off the roof of a car to remove a woman medically trapped after her vehicle was on collision with a lorry in Poole.
The incident took place around 9.50am at Sandbanks Road, near the junction of Lilliput Road and the road was closed to Crichel Mount for around an hour.
Firefighters from Westbourne and Poole released the woman and handed her over to an ambulance crew before making the car and the scene safe.
She was taken to Poole Hospital with suspected chest injuries and a minor head injury.
Police had no details of the car involved and the other vehicle was a low loader.
A diversion was in place and the road was re-opened to traffic around 11am.
