HOLES Bay Road’s £90,000 traffic signal replacement project has been completed ahead of schedule, says Borough of Poole.

Civic officials insist the work, that had been scheduled to finish on December 20, was needed because the old lights had become unreliable.

Cllr Xena Dion, cabinet portfolio holder for a prosperous and sustainable Poole, said: “We are pleased to have been able to complete these works earlier than expected which will allow us to reopen the right turn in and out of Sterte Road.

“The upgrade to the signals at this busy junction will provide many additional benefits to all road users.”
