Bournemouth Echo: Witnesses sought after alleged Boscombe robbery Witnesses sought after alleged Boscombe robbery

ROBBERS allegedly repeatedly kicked a man and stole cash in a robbery in Boscombe.

Detectives are looking for witnesses to the alleged attacked, in which a man was robbed by two men and a woman between 10.45 and 11.15pm on Friday.

It happened at the junction of Christchurch Road, Warwick Road and Hannington Road, police said.

DC Michelle Lawrence, of Bournemouth and Poole CID, said: “The incident spilled into the road and I am keen to speak to anyone who saw or heard anything. I am also particularly keen to trace a man who stopped and spoke to the victim.”

One of the alleged offenders was described as a black man, 5ft 10in tall, had short hair and some facial hair. He wore a distinctive dark quilted parker-style jacket, blue jeans and trainers with white soles.

The second man was described as black, around six feet tall with a small head. He wore small round glasses, a navy blue or black beanie hat, dark top, blue jeans and trainers with white soles.

A 26-year-old woman from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of robbery and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries until the middle of January 2014.

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101 quoting incident number 13:583. Alternatively, call the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.

The only thing missing from this story is the Police saying their usual "nothing to worry about, it's an isolated incident. Boscombe crime rate is going down."

yes, a teenager was murdered, a factory worker was attacked and robbed and a pensioner was killed in a hit and run incident.

But as none of those took place in Boscombe so there is no comment about the crime rate in those respective areas.

A moot point also is whether it is actually Boscombe, as that part is usually thought to be in Pokesdown ........... but then that wouldn't make for such a good headline and wouldn't over excite posters like yourself would it, shuttlecock ?

i hate it, day in and day out all our town has to report in the news is death, traffic accidents and crime.

its a largely populated town, but there are people out there who have thrown away any respect for this beautiful place and its residents,

will things ever improve? because all ive seen in the news are signs that things are infact getting worse.

whats worse is that i feel helpless, what else can we do? voting is pointless if theres no-one who wants to and is actually capable of fixing the crime rate. politicians who say what they WONT do, instead of telling us what they will do. this place is becoming very unfreindly and scary now

It never has worked for us! It's always been about cheap labour and still is!
.
Good for inflating property assets for the rich too! Who cares if it makes your rent unaffordable through supply and demand?
