A WORKER at a clothes recycling plant was knocked unconscious during a robbery in Poole, police have revealed.

Officers have renewed their appeal for witnesses after the man working at the Cash for Clothes recycling centre at Branksome was threatened with a knife and hit over the head with an unknown object at 3pm on Thursday, December 12.

Police have renewed their appeal for witnesses after the robber took cash from the man working at the centre at the Redlands Retail Park, which also houses Homebase and John Lewis.

Detective Constable Michelle Lawrence, of Bournemouth and Poole CID, said: “This appears to have been an isolated incident which took place in broad daylight and I am hoping that somebody has information that will assist with my investigation.

“I urge anyone who may have witnessed the incident take place or has any information to contact Dorset Police as soon as possible.”

The offender has been described as six feet tall and of average build.

He was wearing a dark 'chunky' jacket, a dark beanie hat and tinted glasses and had a single strap bag.

No arrests have been made.
