A DEDICATED fundraiser, who lost his wife to cancer, has donated £1,000 to the Royal Bournemouth Hospital’s Women’s Health Unit.

Stephen Bargery started fundraising in 2007 after his wife Michelle died of cancer aged just 28.

Since then Stephen has raised more than £15,000 for the new unit which will form part of the new Jigsaw building.

For his latest venture, Stephen launched Wimborne Mower Club’s first Grand Prix.

Lindsey Sturman, the hospital trust’s fundraising manager, said: “We are so grateful to Stephen who has worked tirelessly to raise money to support the work of the Bournemouth Hospital Charity.”
