People from in and around Bournemouth and Poole will be able to enjoy an evening of first class music and entertainment this Christmas.

The BBC Radio Solent Choir, Salvacosta and Woodfalls Band are coming together for a special concert on Saturday at 6.30pm.

The concert, which is being hosted by Brendoncare, Winchester’s local charity for older people, will take place at St Aldhelm’s Church in Branksome, Poole and features a programme that includes pieces by composers Will Todd, Darren Bartlett and John Rutter.

All proceeds from ticket sales will go to supporting Brendoncare.

Lisa Fletcher, fundraising officer at Brendoncare, added: “Our mission is to care for older people with dignity and respect, providing care for life in care centres, and tackling social isolation through friendship and well-being clubs.

“By attending this fantastic event you are helping us to support older people across the south.”

Tickets are £8 unreserved and are available from Rod Fletcher on 01202 571485.
