A GROUP of festive fundraisers got into the Christmas spirit with a Jingle Jog along Bournemouth seafront.
Participants joined in either a 6k, 3k or 1.5k fun run in aid of disability charity Diverse Abilities Plus on Sunday. Everyone who took part received a special t-shirt and headboppers with bells on, to ensure they jingled while they jogged around the course.
Funds raised from the Jingle Jog will ensure the charity’s vital services continue over the festive period. The charity’s services do not stop as a number of the people it supports need assistance 365 days of the year.
The total number of hours the charity will provide over Christmas is 1,875 and this will cost £32,227. If the Jingle Jog raises £3,000 it will be enough to run the Christmas services for one whole day and £250 will support one family over the festive period.
Sharon Wells, events fundraiser said: “The majority of our walkers/runners far exceeded their fundraising target.”
