Fog is causing disruption to ferries and air passengers this morning.

The Met Office said the public should be aware of "locally dense fog patches", and the potential for disruption to transport.

A spokesperson said: "Clearing skies will allow temperatures to fall and fog to form Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

"Visibilities are expected to be below 100 m in places, and perhaps lower than 50 m locally.

"The poorest visibility should improve by 10 AM but fog may linger locally into the afternoon."

They issued a yellow warning for Dorset including Bournemouth and Poole.

Meanwhile Wightlink ferry services between Lymington and Yarmouth were reporting delays of 15 minutes.

There are also delays at Southampton Airport.
