THE funeral of a Ringwood pensioner who died after a car crash will be held at Bournemouth Crematorium on Tuesday, December 17 at 2pm.
A celebration of 95-year-old George Barker’s life will also be held at The Elm Tree pub in Ringwood following the funeral.
The great grandfather, who was the secretary for Bournemouth Philharmonic Society, died in hospital after his red Skoda Fabia was in collision with a tractor on the A30 in Launceston while he was on his way to a holiday on December 2.
His daughter Liz said friends were welcome to attend and said the celebration at the Elm Tree will be “an informal and fun gathering” to remember her father George, who was a fitter in the |RAF in the Second World War.
