BOURNEMOUTH’S new Wayfinding town centre map is now available for free from a selection of locations across the town.

The pocket-sized map, which highlights various leisure, cultural and retail zones across the town, can be picked up from the Tourist Information Centre on Westover Road, the Beach Office, a variety of hotels and shops and the Town Centre Rangers.

Gregg Dunnett, manager of the Bournemouth Town Centre BID (Business Improvement District), said: “The new map provides more help for visitors to find their way around the town centre.”

The map system has been designed by Applied – the company which produced the Legible London map – and is part of the larger Bournemouth Town Centre and Coastal Wayfinding project.

The project will see the introduction, in spring and summer 2014, of more than 150 on street pedestrian and cycling signs across the town.
