THIS Tardis could be materialising in your home after it was put up for auction in aid of Julia’s House.

The giant cardboard structure, modelled on Doctor Who’s famous time machine, will be sold off to raise funds for the children’s hospice.

And it has already caught the attention of many shoppers keen to buy it outright from the charity’s Creekmoor shop.

Manager of the shop, Tracy Stanley, said: “I can’t believe how mad it’s gone – we’ve had so many people who want to buy it for themselves.

“But to make it fair, and to raise as much money as we can, we have decided to auction it off to the highest bidder.”

The Tardis appeared on the charity’s Facebook page this week, and bidders have until Monday to compete for the huge object.

Tracy said: “We’re so thrilled with the attention it’s had.

“It’s a bit of a shame, because we were recently donated a large Dalek, but that was snapped up straight away.”

The Tardis was donated by Ferndown company SPS Group, who created it as a point of sale item for kitchenware chain Lakeland.

Group marketing coordinator Maria Parker-Harris said: “We are looking to work very closely with Julia’s House, and met with some of the people working for the charity in the office recently.

“They took a real shine to it after they spotted it and we decided straight away to donate it to them. It’s a fantastic idea to auction it off.”
