OFFICERS continue to investigate a hit-and-run attack that left a Poole pizza delivery driver with a fractured kneecap.
The 21-year-old driver was hospitalised after being mown down in the street by two youths who stole his Robin Reliant car on Saturday evening. He’d been making a delivery for the Papa Johns takeaway chain when two youths, wearing hoodies, jumped into his three-wheeled vehicle.
Realising what was happening the driver from Poole rushed back to the car but was struck by it as the pair drove off. The drama unfolded in Springfield Road around 8.35pm.
Dorset Police, who recovered the vehicle the day after the incident, are anxious for information and witnesses to come forward.
If you can help contact the police on 101.
