TWO of the three Bournemouth restaurants in the latest edition of The Good Food Guide are run by a single operator.

Andy Price has seen his Print Room and WestBeach restaurants both featured in the 2014 edition of the guide.

The other Bournemouth restaurant to be praised in the guide is Koh Thai Tapas on Poole Hill. The Print Room brasserie, based in the Daily Echo’s former press hall on Richmond Hill, has two AA rosettes, while seafront restaurant WestBeach has one.

The guide describes the Print Room as a “grand bar-cum-brasserie” with a “lengthy, please-all menu”. WestBeach as “a relaxed and contemporary brasserie that buzzes from breakfast dinner”.

Mr Price also runs Aruba on the Pier Approach.

He said: “We are hugely proud of our inclusion in The Good Food Guide 2014. This is testament to the hard work our teams have put in, creating the most memorable dining experiences for our loyal patrons. We will continue to deliver outstanding food, wine and cocktails in all of our venues across Bournemouth.”

Koh Thai Tapas is praised by a contributor for its “wonderfully relaxed atmosphere that somehow still manages to achieve a touch of glam” band its “well-flavoured, unpretentious food”.

The guide, first published in 1951, is rewritten and compiled from scratch each year.

Its recommendations are based on feedback from readers and anonymous inspections. Every inspected meal is paid for.
