SOME New Forest homes are still without electricity after a severe storm earlier this week.
Southern Electric Power Distribution confirmed homes in rural New Forest areas are still without power.
Engineers have been working since first light to restore power to the final households off supply.
The remaining households are expected to be reconnected throughout the morning and, at the latest, by late afternoon.
The damage in these areas has been significant with multiple faults and broken poles, a spokesperson for SSE said.
Teams stood down around 2am and started work again at 7am, they added.
Outbound calls are being made to homes without power, and two customer welfare vehicles are on their way to areas still affected to give local updates, support, hot drinks, snacks and advice.
