Bournemouth MP in crackdown on scam mail
11:00am Wednesday 30th October 2013 in News
BOURNEMOUTH residents are being called upon to help curb the use of scam mail.
Tobias Ellwood MP has asked constituents to bring examples of scam mail to his office above the Conservative Club on Haviland Road in Boscombe.
Ellwood and several other MPs are working against the way in which vulnerable members of society are targeted by the mail.
He said “We are trying to protect the most vulnerable in our society who are mercilessly and repeatedly preyed upon, as whenever someone responds to one of these scams not only are they losing money but their details are being sold on to other unscrupulous scammers.
“If you are concerned about a friend or family member who has a problem with scam mail please do not hesitate to get in touch.”
