Students warned lectures could be cancelled over strike
STUDENTS have been warned that lectures and tutorials could be cancelled due to a strike by lecturers tomorrow.
It is not yet known how many will take part in the day of action, called jointly by unions the UCU and UNISON.
Bournemouth University has informed its students to keep an eye on the situation but said it believes most lectures, activities and services will run as normal.
Students have been told the UCU is also planning to “work to contract” from November 1.
They were told: “Students are advised that lectures will continue as normal unless told otherwise by individual academics or communications in the Schools.
“In respect of action short of strike action, we are expecting staff to work normally and efficiently.”
