Pedestrian taken to hospital with serious injuries following North Dorset collision
A PEDESTRIAN has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a collision with a car in Sturminster Newton on Saturday night.
Police said the incident happened in Station Road at around 11.45pm.
A Vauxhall Astra, being driven by a local man, was in collision with a pedestrian, who was taken to Yeovil Hospital.
Police closed the road so that the circumstances of the collision could be investigated.
Officers apologised for the inconvenience and thanked the community for its patience.
Anyone who saw either the pedestrian or the car before the collision, or the collision itself, is asked to contact Sgt Nikki Burt on 101.
