Are you brave enough to join the White Christmas Dip?

HUNDREDS of swimmers are expected to take to the icy seas on Christmas Day in aid of a local cancer unit.
The annual White Christmas Dip will be taking place at Boscombe Pier for the fifth year running, with more support than ever expected at the festive swim.
Started in 2008 by the Baker family, the event has become a tradition over the years for many supporters of the Macmillan Unit at Christchurch Hospital.
The swim rapidly gained local interest and support, and last year Boscombe beach was filled by 120 people on Christmas Day willing to wear fancy dress and give money to the worthy cause.
Neal Williams from Macmillan Caring Locally said: “It is extremely gratifying to see so many people showing their support to the charity on Christmas Day in such a daring way.
“What started as a personal family tradition has become a shared tradition amongst our community, bringing people even closer together during a special time of year.
“We hope that The White Christmas Dip continues for many years to come and that the number of supporters increases so Macmillan Caring Locally is able to provide more expert care to those who need it.”
