Will you find treasure on the map and win a share of £2,000 prize pot?
SHOPPERS will have a golden opportunity to treat themselves for free as part of a new initiative this month.
Anyone spending money in a Coastal Business Improvement District (BID)-registered shop from now until November 9 could win a unique golden ticket.
Each of the tickets, which will be distributed by the BID committee’s Willy Wonka team, is a prize for the lucky shopper, and everything from a dinner or afternoon tea to a haircut or yoga class is up for grabs.
And Daily Echo readers will also have a chance to win a share in a £2,000 prize pot from Monday, October 21, as part of the events.
Each map will be safeguarding a secret, and it’s up to you to discover where the golden treasure chest is hidden.
All you have to do is guess the correct road name and number, and the 14 people who get closest every week will win £50 to spent at a Coastal BID business.
For your chance to win big, visit any BID business with a golden sticker in the window, or simply take a guess at where the golden treasure chest could be buried, and you could be celebrating a special surprise this month.
Alun Williams, who is the manager of the Coastal BID team, said: “This is to encourage the people who are visiting or living in Bournemouth to go out and about and explore the coastal strip from Westbourne to Southbourne this autumn.
“It’s a really good idea to give away prizes as an extra initiative, but shoppers always enjoy visiting the fantastic businesses on offer in the area.”
