Voting open for Bournemouth Tourism Awards People's Choice prize
THIS year’s Bournemouth Tourism Awards will be a celebration of the efforts of everyone involved with the quality and success of Bournemouth and its tourism industry.
To celebrate the awards being in their eighth year, the Daily Echo is sponsoring the People’s Choice Award.
This award is open to tourism businesses including hotels, B&Bs, restaurants, attractions, cafes and so on.
We now have the top five businesses from those who were nominated and voted for by the public and we’re now asking Daily Echo readers to vote for who they would like to be the overall winner of the prestigious Daily Echo People’s Choice Award 2013.
The five to choose from are Flirt Cafe Bar, Harry Ramsden’s, Koh Thai Tapas, Treehouse Family Play and also the Hinton Firs Hotel.
Readers who vote for the People’s Choice Award winner will be in with a chance of winning a Golden Ticket, which includes a two night stay for up to two adults and two children at either Menzies Carlton Hotel or Menzies East Cliff Court Hotel including a full English breakfast and a three course dinner on both evenings.
The winner will also bag a family ticket to the Oceanarium, £40 vouchers to spend at Laser Quest Bournemouth and Bourne-mouth Seafront attractions.
Tomorrow is the entry deadline for the other categories in the Bournemouth Tourism Awards.
With the deadline looming fast, headline sponsors of the awards – the Coastal and Town Centre Business Improvement Districts – said they wanted to see as many firms take part as possible ‘to celebrate and reward a very successful summer season and to make the competition even better than last year’.
Andrew Francis, chairman of the Bournemouth Tourism Management Board, said: “After a fantastic summer, with millions of visitors flocking to the town, it is important that we recognise and highlight the town’s high quality, vibrant tourism offer, and reward the very best places and people behind the industry.”
The winners will be crowned at a Victorian seaside-themed ceremony at the O2 Academy on November 21.
