Inquest into death of Ibrahim Youseuf, 42, will be opened today
SHOCKED locals have paid tribute to murder victim Ibrahim Youseuf as police confirm they are linking the murder of the Bournemouth man to a fatal crash in Wiltshire last week.
In a statement yesterday, Dorset Police said that Mr Youseuf, 42, thought to be the owner of the Five Star Car Wash close to the alleged crime scene in Gloucester Road, was the victim.
The car wash has been closed since police descended on the house, which has been converted into flats, on Friday lunchtime.

Roy Humby, who lives next door to the flat where Mr Youseuf, who is thought to originally be from northern Iraq, was found, said he last saw him on Wednesday last week.
Mr Humby added: “He was a first class bloke. He had the business for five or six years and built it up from nothing really. I came back here (on Friday) and there were three or four police there and a couple of cars and I didn’t realise it was this serious.
“He was a friend; I gave him some help setting up the business. He was a really hard worker; he brightened up this end of the road to be honest. He became a British citizen a couple of years ago and was very proud of it.
“He made a very decent business of it and was the sort of person we could do with more of.”
Mr Youseuf was named yesterday after efforts to track down his next of kin, who, it is believed, live abroad.
The house remained sealed off yesterday, with Dorset Police scientific investigation officers working inside.
Elaine from the Mysterious Tea Shop near the car wash, said: “It is a real shock, and very sad for all of us, we look after each other along here.
“He was a lovely friendly character; he wore colourful clothes and had the personality to match.
“He was ever so nice to me and helped me out often, and we used to share a lot of customers, and they always praised his work.”
Karen Kia, of Bourne & Co, added: “It is a horrible thing to happen. He was a very hard working guy and put everything into his job.”
Detective Inspector Marcus Hester, of the Dorset Police Major Crime Team, said: “Our investigation into this murder is progressing and the deceased is believed to be the owner of the Five Star Car Wash on Gloucester Road.
“As a result of our enquiries I can confirm we are linking this murder to a fatal road traffic collision that occurred in Wiltshire at approximately 6.15am on Friday October 11, 2013.
“We are currently liaising closely with Wiltshire Police in relation to this.
“The details of the deceased from the road traffic collision are currently unknown and we are attempting to identify the driver and contact the next of kin.
“I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed or heard an argument between 8pm and 8.30pm on Thursday 10 October 2013 in the area of 5 Gloucester Road in Boscombe, or anyone with any information about who is responsible to contact Dorset Police as soon as possible.
“I would like to reassure the community that this appears to be an isolated incident and that both the deceased were known to each other.
“All calls will be treated in the strictest of confidence.”
The coroner is aware and an inquest will be opened into the death this morning.
Next of kin have been informed and formal identification has taken place.
Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101 quoting incident number 11:46 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
