A MAN will appear at Bournemouth Crown Court after being charged over an incident where an 11-year-old girl was allegedly grabbed and kissed as she walked along a street in Winton.
As reported by the Daily Echo on Thursday Sed Noureddine, who was arrested on Tuesday, was charged with an assault of a girl under 13 by touching, under the Sexual Offences Act.
Noureddine, 38, of Stirling Road, appeared at Bournemouth Magistrates Court yesterday.
Magistrates committed him to Bournemouth Crown Court, where he will appear on November 4.
Police appealed for information after the alleged incident on the afternoon of Wednesday, September 25, at Wimborne Road, close to East Avenue.
When the appeal was launched, police said that a man approached the girl before attempting to engage her in conversation, putting his arm around her and kissing her.
The girl, who was walking back from school, was said to have broken free and ran home.
She was not injured in the incident.
