Motorists still able to use cash despite new system
CAR parks in Bournemouth and Poole will switch to a new cashless ticket service on November 1.
The two councils are switching from the current RingGo service to Bemrose Mobile, so users will need to register again at phoneandpay.co.uk, via a mobile app or by phone.
Bournemouth councillor Michael Filer said: “This new contract offers better value to those who park in our car parks, as the transaction fee for the new service is cheaper, and for our residents, as the cost of the service to the Councils is reduced.”
Drivers who sign up before November 1 won’t pay the 8p transaction fee for their first month of usage.
Motorists will still be able to pay using cash.
