MORE than 100 bikers took to the roads on Sunday to raise cash for the children’s ward at Poole Hospital.
Members of the Poole Quay Bikers Trust, with about 115 motorbikes in total, set off from Baiter and headed to West Bay, near Bridport.
Chris Seagal, from the trust, said: “This is a one-off to raise money for the children’s ward at Poole Hospital to replace some of the worn-out toys.
“We had a really good turn-out, about 115 bikes.
“Everybody paid a fiver and we have also got the raffle money as well.
“It’s something that’s close to my partner’s heart and it’s something she wanted to do and people have supported it.
“People came from all over the place, including as far as Northampton and Devon, as well as lots of locals who are members of the Poole Quay Bikers Trust.”
