Five-mile queues on A338 after three-car crash near Ashley Heath
The accident took place at 7.35am on the northbound carriageway and emergency services were called to the scene.
Tailbacks stretched back to Hurn and traffic was very slow throughout the morning. The location of the crash was between the B3073 Blackwater junction and the Ashley Heath interchange and the road is reported to be partially blocked.
The collision took place in foggy conditions and police have warned drivers to take care on the roads in the difficult driving conditions.
Two casualties have been described as "immobilised" with one complaining of back and neck pain and police have warned the road may be closed shortly to deal with the incident.
The vehicles involved are a white Volvo S40 registered to a Hampshire woman, a black Renault Megane registered to a Swindon company and a white VW panel van registered to a company in Weybridge in Surrey.
Two vehicles are in the central reservation and a third is at the roadside. One lane was closed while the incident was dealt with and the road is now re-opened.
