Bournemouth Air Festival photo competition 2013: are you one of our finalists?
THE Daily Echo and Castle Cameras Bournemouth Air Festival photographic competition has been the best ever – with more than 600 entries.
The standard was stunningly-high and the judges remarked on the diversity and technical ability of the photographs sent in by readers of all ages.
Here are the top five entries in the adult category and the top three in the 16 and under.
The top adult photographer will win £300 of Castle Cameras vouchers and in the junior category the prize is a Canon A1300 camera.
We challenged readers to come up with their best snaps of the event – which was this year hailed as one of the most successful air festivals to be held.
A near-flawless event saw great weather and fantastic flying displays, including the Red Arrows, Miss Demeanour Hunter Jet, Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, The Blades, Gerald Cooper and Chinook.
By night spectators were dazzled with pyrotechnics from the SWIP team, O’Brien’s Flying Circus, and The Red Devils Parachute Team.
The winner will be announced in Friday’s Daily Echo, so make sure you don’t miss it.
