A whole lotto fun: will Brenda ‘break the safe’ on National Lottery show tonight?
SPRIGHTLY Bournemouth pensioner Brenda Fisher will be having a lotto fun on the season finale of BBC One’s show The National Lottery: Break the Safe, tonight.
Game contestant, Brenda of Thorncombe Close and her good friend will go head-to-head with two other pairs to battle it out and ‘break the safe’.
Retired Brenda, 71, who did not want to give the game away, said: “It was so much fun to record. My friend and I have such banter – we may be 70 but in our minds we’re only 30!”
The quiz show hosted by Nick Knowles tests the contestants’ knowledge, skill and nerve. “Nick was such a lovely man, and made us feel at ease as soon as we walked in the studio.”
The three couples will have to answer questions correctly in order to collect money, which is then locked into the safe for the final round.
The pair that knocks the other two out of the round successfully will then enter the final and have the chance of winning £100,000.
The grandmother-of-four said that it was her first time taking part in a television show. “The studio was huge – and freezing! It was lovely getting my hair and make-up done though.”
The programme, which first hit screens in July, ends tonight.
