Man arrested after knifepoint robbery in Southbourne released on bail
A MAN arrested following a knifepoint robbery in Southbourne at the weekend has been released on bail.
As reported in the Daily Echo, a teenager was lucky to escape serious injury after an attacker stamped on his face during the assault at Fisherman’s Walk on Saturday night.
The 16-year-old was threatened with a knife and pushed off his bike as he rode along.
As he was on the floor the robber, wearing a dark- hooded top with a ‘monster’ motif – stamped on his face.
The robbery took place at 8.45pm on Saturday.
Police say the robber had his face covered but wore dark tracksuit bottoms, trainers, and was between 5ft 7 and 5ft 11ins.
Officers said on Wednesday that a 45-year-old man of no fixed abode had been arrested and was helping police with their enquiries.
This morning it was confirmed that he had been released on bail until mid-December.
