A TEENAGER was lucky to escape serious injury after an attacker stamped on his face during a knifepoint robbery in Southbourne.
The shocked 16-year-old was threatened with a knife and pushed off his bicycle as he rode along Fisherman’s Walk.
As he was on the floor the robber, wearing a dark- hooded top with a ‘monster’ motif – stamped on his face.
A Dorset Police spokesman said: “The offender demanded he handed over his gold and silver Rotary watch and silver chain prior to making his escape.
“The victim fortunately only suffered minor injuries in this shocking incident.”
The robbery took place at 8.45pm on Saturday.
Police say the robber had his face covered but wore dark tracksuit bottoms, trainers, and was between 5ft 7 and 5ft 11ins.
“Bournemouth CID is asking anyone with information regarding this incident to call in on the 101 non-emergency telephone number quoting crime reference number C:13:C: 37574,” said the police spokesman.
