YELLOW Buses is flying high after being awarded a major deal by the owners of Bournemouth Airport.
The company has been awarded the prestigious A1 shuttle bus contract for a minimum of three years, by Manchester Airports Group (MAG), which transports travellers to and from the airport.
The hourly service, running from 7am-7pm, links Bournemouth Airport and the Business Park with Bournemouth town centre, and now the main hubs within the Yellow Buses network, which include Royal Bournemouth Hospital.
Derek Lott, managing director of Yellow Buses, said that they were ‘delighted.’ He added: “We believe there is great potential to grow the service and will be working closely with the airport to increase the number of bus passengers travelling to and from the airport and business park.”
Paul Knight, Managing Director of Bournemouth Airport, said: “We welcome Yellow Buses to the site, and look forward to them providing beneficial services to the staff who are based at the airport, and on the Business Park, but also for the passengers who want to use our airport and travel here using public transport.”
